Music is crucial, always been a big part of my life. One song, in particular, hit me like a lightning bolt; it was 1991, and I used to get up super early in the morning just to spend some time with my dad before he went to work. During those times, between the news on loop on Channel 5, they’d play the latest hit videos; “Losing my religion” grabbed me from the get-go, not to mention the vibes from its music video that I couldn’t get enough of, playing it over and over. From then on, REM became my go-to band. Years later, their “I don’t sleep, I dream” (here in a couple’s version) was the perfect dreamy inspiration I needed to create the headboard for a dreamers’ bed.
