Over the years, I’ve become the queen of decluttering, yet when I was younger, I struggled so much when it came to throwing things away! Honestly, even today, when emotions are involved, the old struggle resurfaces, like with these six 1950s formica chairs that, after serving my paternal grandparents for a long time, were “demoted” to garden chairs. Their condition was desperate, to say the least, rusted and full of chips; two were salvaged for parts, while the others became (after a lot of work!) functional elements in my home. [The artworks featured on the seat and backrest come from a diverse mix of artists, including Shepard Fairey, FAKE, Mr. Sly, Seth, Pure Evil, Banksy, The Postman Art, Merioone, Mr. Brainwash, Martin Whatson, DFace, Jef Aérosol, Cheer Up, Fanakapan, Keith Haring, Joe Iurato, Invader, Blek le Rat, El Pez, Speedy Graphito, Mr. Save The Wall, Fin DAC, Nest, and many more].
