Back when I was a little girl, I used to think I’d marry my dad someday. Even though that whole Oedipus complex thing feels like ancient history now, my dad’s characteristics have still had a big impact on my idea of what a man should be like. His beard and mustache (I’ve never seen him without them!) formed my image of the quintessential man, creating a male icon that’s stuck with me over the years. So, this gentleman’s mustache is my way of giving a nod to the man who inspired it all.
