There was a time when I simply admired the masterpieces of the artists who moved me the most without daring to get involved, until one day, I felt the need to challenge myself. Back then, I didn’t paint, I didn’t have materials at my disposal except for what survived from the hours of art education in middle school. I remember choosing to try my hand at Magritte because I’ve always been fascinated by his painting technique. Now, I look tenderly at the reproduction of that apple and wonder what would have happened if I had had the courage to take a bite a long time ago…
