Music’s always been like a loyal sidekick for me; it’s the soundtrack to my days and pretty much sets the rhythm for everything I do. For years, MUSE was my go-to band; so, when I decided to create a piece (which later became a diptych) dedicated to madness, it only made sense to borrow a couple of lines (with a twist) from their song “Madness.” I’m a firm believer that madness and nonsense are woven into the fabric of our lives not just to complicate things and throw us off course, but also to keep us afloat in those situations where common sense and reason would weigh us down and drown us. So, madness becomes a tool for lifting us up, for breaking free, shedding the weights and surfacing above it all.
